Bikesharing Rekola in České Budějovice have been launched in September 2015 at the initiative of local residents. Bikesharing Rekola project works in the cities of Prague, Brno, Olomouc, Teplice and Pardubice. This first Czech bikesharing project meets the requirements the Smart cities concept, works on a mobile application and is non-stationary. In practice, this means that through a monthly or year membership or a one-time rent, you can borrow and return the marked pink bike anywhere in defined area. Users are not limited by station deployment and the stations do not permanently block public space.
