Undreground corridors in Týn nad Vltavou were founded in the 14th - 16th century. The purpose of corridors is not explained. Corridors could be used as fresh water tank, emergency exit from town or as shelter. Another theory speaks about mining of some kind if minerals.
Guided Tour is 320 meters lenght. Staying with guide is recommended because you can lost way in blind corridors. During the tour you can see 2 water wells, non-original lake or unfinished entrance to the surface.
Corridors are narrow and not too high. For person with claustrophobia is entrence not recommended. Entrance is allowed only with raincoat, waterproof shoes and light - everything you can rent from guide. Maximum person to Guided Tour is 10.
