Jemčina Hunting Lodge

The Jemčina Hunting Lodge was built by Prince Prokop Vojtěch Černín in the middle of the 18th century. Within the lodge, a chapel devoted to St. John of Nepomuk was built. The chapel is 19 meters tall and, with its fresco decorations, represents the most valuable part of the hunting lodge. This location became famous due to its extensive game reserve, a place of par force hunts (hunting with hounds) where lords from all parts of the Habsburg monarchy met. The hunting lodge is accessible to the public during castle tours.
