The stud farm in Písek is a complex of unique buildings made of brickwork. Since 2010, it has been a national cultural heritage monument and is visible from the main road on the route from Prague to České Budějovice when using the ring road around Písek. The stud farm was built at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The fi rst stallions were placed here in 1902, and since that time horse breeding in Písek has been a tradition. The stud farm in Písek is one of the three last state companies that breed horses in the Czech Republic. Excursions in the building are possible.
