This museum (and the tourist information centre) is located in a beautiful Art Nouveau style house at No. 6 in the E. Beneš square in Milevsko. The Museum of Masks presents a collection of traditional local masks preserved from the times of the first Czechoslovak Republic and also old documents and photographs. A small cinema hall displays historic shots from the masquerade parades and visitors can have their photo taken while wearing a replica of one of the masks. Paper masks can be purchased for children to decorate according to their imagination. Let yourself be drawn into the masquerade world of our ancestors!
