Třeboňsko

The surrounding country with a unique network of fishponds and manmade canals and well-preserved architecture of historic towns and villages ranks Třeboňsko among the most beautiful parts of South Bohemia and Czech Republic in general. Thanks to sophisticated landscaping and water management activity of our ancestors, Třeboňsko has preserved exceptional natural and technical monuments.

Its extraordinary natural value led to the inclusion of Třeboňsko among the UNESCO Biospheric Reserve network in 1977 and promulgation of Třeboňsko Protected Landscape Area in 1979.

Třeboňsko was made for active family vacations. It is well-suited for lovers of fishing, recreational cycling, and the area is criss-crossed by canoeing routes accessible even to the less skilled paddlers.
