Are you going to visit the Rio – Lipno 2016 Olympic Park in August? We bring you basic information about parking, transport and access routes to get here as quickly as possible.
SHUTTLE SERVICES AROUND THE OLYMPIC PARK
GETTING TO LIPNO BY CAR
All the visitors to the Olympic Park who decide to arrive by private car are recommended to choose the route České Budějovice – Kaplice – Dolní Dvořiště –Vyšší Brod (parking P6) – Loučovice (parking P4 and P5) and then transfer to the shuttle service. This route will be marked officially by road signs.
You can choose an alternative northern route, which will take you to the Olympic Park via Vimperk and Volary (road no. 4, then no. 39), or the northwest route via Netolice, Lhenice, Kájov (road no. 122, then no. 166).
We recommend avoiding the route via Český Krumlov.
PARKING AREAS
If you are arriving to Lake Lipno by car, please use our park-and-ride facilities, which offer adequate parking.
The official business hours of a parking area is the period during which the parking area is served. Drivers can leave their cars in the parking area even outside the official business hours after the program has ended.
Having parked your car, you will receive an identification wristband that enables you to use our shuttle service throughout the day; its stops are in the immediate proximity of each parking area.
The shuttle service will take you quickly and free of charge to both the Olympic Park Center and the other sports grounds around Lipno.

Park you car in our largest park-and-ride areas facilities in Loučovice and use our shuttle service, which will take you to the Olympic Park Center within moments.
GETTING TO LIPNO BY TRAIN
In addition to conventional services headed for Lipno, we have arranged a few faster services for visitors to the Olympic Park; they will depart from České Budějovice and connect to the shuttle service system, allowing you quick transfers around all the sports grounds of the Olympic Park. You can find the services at www.idos.cz.
Every visitor purchasing a train ticket will get a free wristband that will enable them to use the shuttle service throughout the day. These wristbands will be available after presenting a valid ticket at a ČD office.

GETTING TO LIPNO BY BUS
You can also reach Lipno by bus, and you can take your bicycle with you! We have arranged several reinforced services for you, fitted with trailers with a capacity for 25 bicycles. The bolstered bus services run on the line: České Budějovice – Český Krumlov – Rožmberk – Vyšší Brod – Olympic Park – Frymburk as follows:
Every visitor presenting a valid ticket will be able to use the shuttle service free of charge.

SHUTTLE SERVICES AROUND THE OLYMPIC PARK
The shuttle service is comprised of a combination of train and bus services that connect to each other, cover all the sports grounds and transport visitors from each park-and-ride facility.
Recommended: You can travel around Lipno by bicycle as well! Nearly the entire lake is surrounded by cycling trails. You can take your bicycle to Lipno comfortably not only by car, but also by train and by bus.
It is divided into four lines
BLUE LINE - TRAIN
The Blue Line serves transport along the route Vyšší Brod (parking P6) - Loučovice (parking P4 and P5) - Lipno nad Vltavou (stops at every halt en route). This service is suitable also for visitors transporting bicycles or boats.
On workdays between Mondays and Thursdays, the shuttle service will run every hour as follows.
Services in force on workdays between 4 - 21 August 2016 All the services are suitable for bicycle transport; services marked with an anchor are suitable for boat transport.
On Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, the shuttle service will run every half hour. Services marked with an anchor are suitable for boat transport. All the services are suitable for bicycle transport.

RED LINE - BUS
The Red Line is intended primarily for transporting visitors from the two parking areas in Loučovice (P4, P5). These buses will provide transport at periodic times, only every 10-30 minutes. This line will be in operation 4-22 August 2016.
GREEN LINE - BUS
The Green Line is intended primarily for transfering visitors among the places where the Olympic Park has its sports grounds. This line will transfer visitors along the route Přední Výtoň – Lipno – Frymburk - Černá in Pošumaví.
The Green Line will run in regular 20-minutes headways along the route Přední Výtoň – Lipno – Frymburk. Every third service will reach Černá v Pošumaví, i.e., once an hour.
YELLOW LINE - TRAIN
The Yellow Line trains will run on the route Černá in Pošumaví - Horní Planá - Nová Pec. This line will be in operation every day at times listed below. In Černá in Pošumaví, the line is connected with the bus shuttle service (Green Line) with a maximum waiting time of 10 minutes.
Who can use the free shuttle service?
The shuttle service is intended for every visitor who displays an identification wristband that entitles them for that. The wristband will be available free of charge to everyone who:
a) parks their car at one of our parking areas
b) arrives at the Olympic Park by train or bus and then shows a valid ticket.
The wristbands will be available at all our park-and-ride facilities and ČD offices.
Besides, the free shuttle service will be available for holders of the Lipno Card and the JIKORD Plus tickets.
Coach parking
For a time absolutely necessary for unloading / loading visitors, use the Pod Lanovkou parking area, located just a few minutes’ walk from the Olympic Park Center. After that, please move the coach to the parking area in Loučovice, which has bays suitable for long-term coach parking.
The attendants at parking area P3 Pod Lanovkou will inform you about alternative locations for long-term parking in case the capacity of the parking area in Loučovice is filled.
Parking fee: CZK 300 per coach per day.
